This week I read my first historical of the year: The Convict’s Bounty Bride: a novella by Lena Dowling.
After that came The Downfall of a Good Girl by Kimberly Lang.
I also reviewed Deadly Descent by Kaylea Cross.
Then it was one I’ve been saving to read closer to the release date, but couldn’t hold off any longer: The Wanderer by #1 NYT Bestseller Robyn Carr. It was different than I expected, and not quite the same as the hugely popular series this one is a spinoff from, but I loved it and can’t believe the next two books in the series won’t be released for months!
Canberra – Australia’s gorgeous capital city, and my home – turns 100 in a couple of days. This weekend was marked by the Enlighten Canberra festival, late-night showings of the Toulouse Lautrec exhibition at the National Gallery, all kinds of bands and displays in the streets and heaps of other things. The weather is back to summer temperatures, so it was a great weekend.
