Odd week. Tuesday morning saw my mother rushing in to see if I was okay. I was in the shower and my phone – in my bedroom – apparently called her some eight times and left a series of voice messages!
That night, my Kindle died on me without any warning. It was working one moment, and then it wouldn’t turn on. And I was in the middle of some good review books! So it’s paperbacks for me for a week or two!
Then on Wednesday morning a kangaroo trying to cross a road totalled the car! We bought a new car on Saturday…
While Russia continued to violate the ceasefire and invade and conquer more towns in Ukraine, the 18th and 20th marked the first anniversaries of two of the worst days in Ukraine’s – and Europe’s – recent history. They were the two days of the worst slaughter of demonstrators in Ukraine’s capital city, Kyiv, by pro-Russian forces.
That led to the pro-Russian president being smuggled into Russia before he could be arrested, and soon after that, the invasion of Crimea.
