The Week: 30th March – 5th April

Hand-painted Ukrainian Easter egg.

Just as I have to say every Christmas: don’t think Easter is over this weekend! There’s another Easter (the old calendar Easter – not “Orthodox Easter”! I’m not Orthodox!) next weekend. Easter is sadly no big deal in Western cultures anymore. Chocolate and a couple of days off work. Ukrainian Easter is a HUGE deal, with the famous hand-painted eggs, the baskets, the embroidery, the traditional foods.

And Thursday’s pretty-coloured sunset.

I’m a bit behind on things because my computer’s power-adaptor-thing that keeps the battery running is broken. Of course it decided to break over Easter, when all the shops are shut!

After saying I was never on certain social media accounts, I found myself on Twitter on Thursday night. I wish I hadn’t gone! So many things to be annoyed about!

Stay away, Sonya. Or else you’ll have a breakdown.
