Me at Australia’s Vietnam War memorial in Canberra last night. It felt really special to be the only person there (apart from the person taking the picture!). My father is a Vietnam vet, and… Well – insert sentimental nonsense here!
Messy week. I spent most of it setting up some online stores, but on Saturday we went out.
It was really funny, because when we were on our way home we decided to visit some tourist spots in our city and take some photos. The sun had set by then, and somehow we decided to visit the military bases (because we’re the capital city, there’s stuff here).
I was actually shocked. We turned into a military base and drove around the whole place, and not only were we not asked for ID, but we didn’t see a single soldier – or person!
Incredible that you can literally drive around Australian military bases whenever you want, and nobody will question you!
It seems VERY naïve to me!
