No more library fines for most young readers in L.A. County

I saw this on Jill Shalvis‘ Twitter account a few days ago, and then found some stories about it.

It seems that for a little while now libraries in Los Angeles have been waiving fees for late returns by allowing people under twenty-one to read instead. One hour of reading eliminates $5 in debt.
